Privacy Policy

Effective October 30, 2026

Banana is made by Jana Remy, an independent developer ("we"). This policy explains what the Banana iPhone app collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and we don't track you.

If you use Banana without an account

In Guest Mode, everything you log (plants, colors, Patterns and photos) stays on your iPhone. None of it is sent to us.

If you create an account

When you sign in, with email and password or with Google, we store:

We use this data only to run the app. It isn't shown to other users, used for advertising, or sold.

Purchases

Payments are handled entirely by Apple; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check your subscription status with Apple. RevenueCat receives your account's ID and your purchase history for Banana.

What we don't collect

Reminders, if you turn them on, are scheduled on your iPhone; no notification token is sent to us.

Service providers

We rely on a few providers to run Banana, each using your data only to provide its service to us:

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account data until you delete your account. To delete it, go to Settings in Banana and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, logs and photos from our servers and wipes them from your phone. You can also email support@eatthepattern.app and we'll delete it for you, or send you a copy of your data.

Children

Banana isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. For significant changes, we'll also let you know in the app.
